Still Roaring?

A while back I posted about using Adobe's DNG as a digital negative, rather than the proprietary format provided by default by my digital SLR. Recently there's been some media noise about Adobe and another of the formats they publish - PDF.

There's a lot of FUD about the story, which involves Microsoft announcing the removal of built in support for PDF export in a future version of Microsoft Office, but here's two links that have a bit more than just the original story:

Anyway, the reason for this post is because I've been asked whether I've changed my mind on using DNG, and the answer is....

....no.

There, that was nice and easy wasn't it.

The slightly longer answer is: not at the moment, but it's a story to watch.


Oh, and yes, it has been quiet around here recently, a lot (too much?) going on elsewhere.
