Zero ink

Zinc demo'd at demo a printing technology capable of full colour images without ink, toner or ribbon. Instead they use special photographic-like paper which contains colour-less dye crystals that become coloured when heated by the print head. Zinc are positioning this technology for embedding in devices to print anywhere - for example a printer in your phone or camera to immediately print the picture you've just taken. Think digital Polaroid and the Razor and Blades business model.
