Ye gads, two posts in succession with question marks in the title, whatever next? Maybe a return to a series of "The advantage of..." stylie posts.
Anyway, it appears, as reported by El Reg, that my beloved EOS 350D SLR has been replaced/usurped/obsolete-ified by the new EOS 400D with the following diffs:
- Increased sensor pixel size to 10 megapixels
- Bigger LCD display
- Slightly faster (better?) autofocus
- Antidust shake the sensor thingy
The latter is the one that most appeals - mainly cause with fixed focal length lenses I'm changing between them a lot.
Humm. I wonder what this would do to second hand (or, as I once saw advertising cars of a small cuddly nature, "pre-loved") 350's? Maybe I could pick up a couple of extra 350 bodies for less than a 400 and keep the lenses attached...
Nothing yet on dpreview - it'll be interesting to read their take.
[Update: dpreview have some coverage]
